What does AI see of your site?
ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity — and largely Google too — read your site’s HTML without running JavaScript. If your content only appears after the JS, the page is almost empty to them, and they cannot cite you. Paste your address below and see what an AI really sees.
Why AI readability matters now
People increasingly ask an AI assistant for a recommendation — “who’s a good dentist in Milan”, “suggest a studio that builds websites” — instead of scrolling ten blue links. But an AI can only recommend what it can read, and most AI crawlers don’t run JavaScript: they read the HTML exactly as it arrives.
Many modern sites are built as JavaScript applications that load their content afterwards. A human with a browser sees a beautiful site; an AI crawler sees an empty container. The result: you are invisible precisely where discovery is moving.
What this tool checks
- Content in the HTML — is the text already there, or does it only appear with JavaScript?
- Real readable text — how many words an AI actually sees.
- Title and description — the basics every engine uses.
- Structured data (JSON-LD) — what AI cites with confidence.
- Technical signals — a single H1, Open Graph, canonical, language.
It is a quick diagnosis of a single page, not a full technical audit — but it is enough to tell whether your site is playing the right game.
About this tool
Do AI engines read JavaScript sites?
Largely, no. Most answer-engine crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot) read the raw HTML without running JavaScript: if your content only appears after the JS, the page is empty to them.
What does this audit measure?
It fetches the page the way an AI crawler does — a plain GET, no browser — and checks what survives: real text, title and description, headings, JSON-LD structured data, Open Graph, and the “JavaScript shell” signal (an almost empty page that only fills in once the JS runs).
Is this a full technical audit?
No. It is a quick, indicative diagnosis of the single page you enter, meant to tell you immediately whether a site is readable and citable by AI. We send the full report with improvement steps by email.
